I don't have his mailing address yet, but I'll post it as soon as I get it so you can send him some love!

Letter From Scott! Week 2

Hey guys,
Just Elder Denison here. I got the pictures of Davis. That is way cool. I can't wait to see more pictures of him and the boys together.
Well, another week has gone by. I have no clue whether it is going fast or slow. It's so CONFUSING!!! Oh, also if you are getting this, you can respond by email, but I would rather you respond by either mail or dearelder.com. The reason for this is because I can only check my email on pdays, and it seems to take forever for P days to get here. But I can get mail or dearelder.com letters twice a day, and it's always nice to get mail. It makes the day go by quicker.
There is a lot happening here. The discussions are going well. It was really cool last Thursday. We do TRC's here, (I don't remember what they stand for), but we essentially knock on a classroom door, and there's an investigator in there like it's their own house, and we teach them a discussion. There's like hidden cameras in the room so that our teacher can watch and see how we're doing. Well on Thursday, we taught a nice lady named Cindy. She is an older woman who plays the organ at the Episcapelian church. Her son joined the church, so she wanted to learn more about what we're all about.
She was pretty accepting, but I couldn't tell whether or not she was actually believing it or not. It got to the point where Elder Glass (my companion) bore his testimony on the book of mormon. She didn't seem to buy it, because she looked at me and asked me if I believed it. I told her about how I gained a testimony in the restoration and the book of mormon. I don't even remember what I said. I think most of what I was saying was coming from the spirit, because I went on for a long while. But what gave me strength, what has kept me going since Thursday was that she felt the spirit too. I know she felt it. Even before I finished she started to tear up, which caused me to tear up, and even the young member that came with us to teach began to tear up.
The spirit was so strong in that room, I know we all felt it. She committed to going to church on Sunday, and to read the book of mormon and to earnestly pray about it, and I think she really will do it. She also invited us to come teach her again next Thursday, and even invited us to Thanksgiving dinner. But unfortuanetly, that can't happen.
Speaking of Thanksgiving dinner, I feel that we are getting jipped. We do get two hours each for breakfast and lunch, but we get A SACK LUNCH FOR THANKSGIVING DINNER!!!! What the duece is up with that!!!! Oh well.
Well, I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I love you all.
Elder Denison
PSS WRITE ME!!!! I've gotten a letter from a missionary who went home before I've gotten letters from a lot of you!!! haha

Scott's First Week!

Hey everybody,
Just letting everyone know that I am still alive and doing well. I am having a great time here at the MTC. Friday Saturday and Sunday were extremely hard, but now I believe that I am getting into the swing of things. My companion is a pretty cool guy named Elder Glass from Idaho Falls. I am also rooming with some other pretty crazy characters. Elder Tanner from Bountiful is the weirdest guy I have ever met, but he is still cool, and his companion, Elder Seymore, is from Georgia. He has the coolest accent and because I've been around him so much I'm starting to pick up on some of his southern accent. He and I were eating some "cim-ma-nem bah-na-ahs" the other day. He made me laugh so hard during lunch that I accidentally spat out my drink all over my shirt. That was a good day.

I am also learning more then I ever have in my entire life. Every day is a spiritual h-bomb. It is so cool to be surrounded by all these holders of the priesthood, all of whom have been called of God and hold all of the blessings God has in store for us. I also have one of the best teachers I think I could ask for. His name is Bro. Oldham. He is a super guy, and always bring such a feeling into the room when he teaches, I feel like I could leave the MTC right now and convert all of Mesa!!

We also have the best district I think I could ask for. We are all super elders. Not one of us is anything like the other, but we all get along so well. I will try to send pictures next Tuesday. It's been pretty crummy weather down here and it's hard to get everyone together for a picture. Anyways, I will see if I can send what pictures I have.
Thanks guys! I love you all so much!
